Hasting's Chromolly ring, I was told the chrome rings are more suited to Race/Street car, but the cast one's are good for rally as they are softer, if any dirt or crap get's sucked into the bore it wear's the cast ring rather than marking the bore, but they dont last as long. I am not sure about rings for turbo's, i think they will have a bigger end gap.

I'm going with the rebuild because at least then i know the motors history and that way it should keep going for a fair while too..
