damn i need a digi camera, yeah that is what i have, its a slide in shaft
which has a bolt hole thru centre, which u bolt the drive shaft to, same as
an r160, just i used that slide in bit on the r180, but cause the 180 is a
bigger diff that the 160, those 160 slide in spline shaft is to short for
the 180 diff.

You must have a real old style R180 diff as the 1/2 shafts don't bolt into
a
R180 diff, they slide into the diff and there aint no plate. The exception
to the slide in shafts is what came on the 240Z which has a R180 that takes
the same shafts as a 1600/180B/200B with R160. What's in either side of
your
R180 - there should be just 2 holes with a splined shaft inside of them -
the shafts fit up to it much like how a tailshaft fits onto the back of a
gearbox. If it aint got what I've described, then ur got me on this one.
What are the shafts off that you intend to use with this R180 diff?
