Remove the chokes..
I have treid 45mm setup as from the book and car went much slower,,so went
back to the 40mm same day
Most of the jets in mine have been bronzed up and re drilled,
You dont need to buy new parts just work what your've got..
Ya just need to find a carb expert.

i had a 76 it was too big for the 40's i had
i have some fuel and air jets somewhere
4 x 128 fuel jets
4 x 160 air jets
the fuel jets have been drillled out.
