I downloaded a free app from somewhere for my blackberry, works great.
I think it was actually google maps, it will show your location, give
you directions etc. I dont use it but I thought it was neat.

Daughter needs a gps that talks. I don't like em... so I have not
studied up. What is the current wisdom of this groups about the GPS
wars?
Here are the parameters:
1. She will probably be switching cars,
So a Catheyesque Becker transplant is probably not feasible.
Having to plug cord into a Cig lighter is undesirable.
2. She wants one that talks
3. She will be primarily NOT in major metro areas.
(so maps that are accurate in rural/less populous areas are needed)
She can get an app for her phone, but good ol CanYaHearMeNow wants an
additional $60 a month to be able to use the gps app. And we thought
MaBell was hard to get along with!
