Yes, I'm sure more economical in the long run, but what I've got is pretty much 
perfect for what I do now, and it is very compact - fits into a small canvas 
tool bag $7 from HF, and I can resupply both tanks at most hardware stores, as 
opposed to the big tanks which probably can only be filled/exchanged at a 
welding supply place, which around here is only open 8 to 5 on weekdays.

At some point you're probably going to wish you'd gotten
the full-on smoke wrench.  Lots of uses.  Heating things
quickly, welding, cutting...  and you can even use a bright
white flame to get rid of a hornet's nest in your trailer
hitch.  (They attack the flame, not the holder thereof.)
