Hi Gang -
When trying to adjust my alternator belt I found the upper bolt
with the star around its collar was turning without adjusting the
belt.
my lower bracket is ok but the upper has been chewed up. Anyone
know where I can find one?

Car-part.com search for alternator, then start calling the listings
until you find one that will sell you the bracket.
