Someone, perhaps on this list (?), recommended this stuff - https://www.amazon.com/HOUD1-Houdini-Lock-Lube/dp/B00C5JFKKE I bought some and used it in the 1957 locks in the Cessna - it made ALL the difference in the world. They are now as smooth operating as a new MB lock! I don't know what it does relative to water and freezing, but for a sticking, rough working lock it is wonderful.
