If it's anything like the twilight sedation I had for a surgical tooth extraction, "ruin" is a subjective term. It's true I wasn't at all productive for the afternoon after the procedure, but what bits of that afternoon I can remember were pretty pleasant. I was flying high, both from the aftereffects of the sedative and from Vicodin. Staring at the wall was oddly entertaining.
