If you do it right, there is a savings to be realized. Not major but
at the same time you're getting protection above and beyond that of
conventional oils. The first time I cranked my car up at 15-20 below
0, without plugging in the block heater, I was sold on it.
Everything I own with an now has synthetic oil. That includes all
our cars, our boat, my Harley and Suzuki, snowmobile, snow blower,
log splitter, 2 lawn mowers. The smaller engines only take approx 1
qt, the snowmobile was run on Amsoil synthetic 2 stroke since the
engine was broken in (PO gave me more 2 stroke Amsoil than I can use
in my lifetime).
If you want to use it in anything new, break it in real good on
dino then switch over.
