While you are looking things up, also look up a material called "EDTA"  .
The lookup will give you the chemical name for it, but it's a non
prescription dietary supplement you can get at your local health food
store. I was prescribed statins, did the research, and decided I did NOT
want to take them. So Dr. wrote the script, I took EDTA and we monitored
the results in 6 months.
Result, lower cholesterol readings, both good and bad cholesterol.  Dr.
says, well that seems to be working, here is a script for next 6 months...
same on repeat... He is happy, I am happy.... I never told him I did not
take the statins until the end of two years.
Now have a new Doc.... still no issue with cholesterol. still taking EDTA
supplement. zero negative side effects.
