Around here, as I’m sure is the same case in your area, they troll the 
neighborhoods after storms to get business. Many of them want to handle the 
whole insurance claim process, where they get you to sign over everything to 
them to handle. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but what can happen is they 
do a crappy job and you have no recourse because you don’t control the payment.

There is quite a business in weather apps that identify storms and winds down 
to the individual address. They subscribe to these services and use the 
information to go out and canvass for business. It’s also what they use to 
promote a claim with the insurance companies.

Find a couple of local roofing companies and have them inspect the roofs. Tell 
them you believe you may have storm damage and they’ll know to look for it.
