Rent Rusty's for $75 (if that is still his price) and save your life, peace of mind, your car, your family and neighbors, dogs, cats, birds, and garage door. Those springs need a fair amount of compression, which means a lot of stored energy, just waiting to energetically release. You do not want that to happen.
