I'd carry cheap stuff, synthetic oil doesn't burn well if you put it in the fuel filter. Could probably stretch your range by 3-5 miles if you run out of fuel too. I wouldn't carry diesel long-term unless it was in a well-sealed container, like an aluminum camping fuel bottle.
