Are you sure about that? I was sure that I was told the 115 is old enough that 
it is only a 3 speed. So far as I am
aware, it only shifts twice and the gear it starts in is fairly low. I doubt 
there is a gear below that.

115's are 4 speeds, they start in 2nd.  You have to push pedal down all
the way and hit the kickdown to go into first, or manually shift it there.
