Nope - both of my 115 (1976) 300D's had four speed auto trannys., and my Dad's 115 (1972) 220D had a four speed auto tranny. All of them started in 2nd.

Are you sure about that? I was sure that I was told the 115 is old enough that it is only a 3 speed. So far as I am aware, it only shifts twice and the gear it starts in is fairly low. I doubt there is a gear below that. Randy
