So the plot thickens. The battery is new [within the year], not that that means a whole lot, but it would turn the crank easily. GP's are all new, but three have gone out in a few months and have been replaced. Relay is @$160, relay kit [including 4 bosch gp's] is $5 more. I'd have ordered from Rusty, but I'm working through a local shop. I'll try the relay first - looks like it might be within my limited skill set. BillR

That's the relay's way of telling you that the glow plugs don't all draw the same current. Last time it happened to me ('79 300SD) the plugs were good but the battery was weak. Put in a new group 49 and the light stayed on for the usual waiting period. _______________________________________ http://www.okiebenz.com For new parts see official list sponsor: http://www.buymbparts.com/ For used parts email [EMAIL PROTECTED] To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com _______________________________________ http://www.okiebenz.com For new parts see official list sponsor: http://www.buymbparts.com/ For used parts email [EMAIL PROTECTED] To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
