Never noticed the light on while driving. The 'new' gp's are German, but not
Bosch. I'm going to have them all replaced I think. They offered to swap them
for a better brand... Spray pattern could be bad, though. Never noticed any
hint of a problem with the ignition switch - nor do I want to.
I'll try the relay and go from there.

I'm confused. The GP's are only a few months old and you've already
lost three of them? (Are they Monarks? :-) It sounds like your
GP relay might be powering the GP's when the engine is running,
or you have very bad injector spray patterns. A flakey ignition
switch can trigger the GP relay to go on when you're driving,
accelerating GP wear.
