part of the allure of Amarok is that some of the other players are 
really front ends for Amarok.  If you are having trouble getting the 
streams to run at all and another player runs them, it is possible that 
all of the amarok based players will work.

I hear a lot of good things about Amarok, I just couldn't get it to work 
for me and, when I got MPlayer working, I lost interest in it.

If have VLC installed on my Windows machine.  It is the Windows edition 
of a Linux program.  It works perfectly if it can open the file at all.

I  can get your visa application ready to file in two weeks (except for 
required documents) for $699.  It will take you a lot longer to do it 
yourself and the applicant won't be a resident of Canada until you do. 
You might also make a dumb mistake!  (All services will be for free
