Hi!  First is to set the pc to static ip settings and clear out every
setting to blanks.  Then set the pc to dhcp.  Most times that will fix it.
Most cable companies don't use pppoE anymore, so as long as it's dhcp, it
should work.

On the router, you shouldn't need to clone the mac, just let it be a router
and do port forwarding if you need access from outside.
