I never thought much of their customer service. They want you to join
that club (used to be Mandrake Club) where they charge you for customer
support.
I tried it about a year ago by downloading Mandriva One and it didn't
have adequate support for a printer that has good Linux drivers.
If you paid by credit card, you can often protest that charge through
the credit card company. Shipping in the wrong language is a failure to
deliver.
I found Ubuntu a lot more polished, anyway. I think that the model of
giving you the software free and then charging for customer support is
fatally flawed. Ubuntu is sometimes slower to give you the latest
editions of software. It hasn't upgraded Open Office from 2.4 to 3.0,
even though 3.0 has been out for months. I guess that they are holding
it for their next release in April.

Hi!
Has anyone had any contact with Mandriva recently? And what was the
experience.
I have been using Mandrake 10.1 since it came out. I ordered the 2009
power pack in English but got it in French. Not very useful since I do
not read, write or speak French.
I tried to contact them via Internet. I have not a clue how to get
through the maze. It is all obsolete disconnected irrelevant .....
Has anyone any ideas on getting a response out of them?
