My experience with the "company" is that you pay your money (or not) use the
product and that's pretty much it. There is no install help that I could
find on their
site, no place to post complaints, help is available for a price or you
use the forums.
My biggest complaint is no initial time to ask distro-specific
questions. If you join
their club there is no refund. Once you pay you're in it until it expires.
I use Mandriva because it works the best for me, and now I'm so used to
it it would
be a pain to change. As I said before, I found Ubuntu to be very lacking
in what I
expect from a Linux box-Mandriva just works better and smoother for me.
If you ever upgrade your hardware you are going to lose 10.1 anyway. You
might
want to try Mandriva 2008 now and not get forced into it like I did.
Overall I'm
very glad I went with 2007, later I might upgrade to 2008 or whatever
but I'm
happy with it and it seems really bulletproof like OS/2 was. Not all
Linux is.
