I tried KDE4, it's a mess!!! A lot of the applets haven't gravitated over yet, it's very buggy. KDE 3 was a very good desktop, but I switched to Gnome just because you can get Gnome doing what you want it to do.

Hi!
Has anyone had any contact with Mandriva recently? And what was the experience. I have been using Mandrake 10.1 since it came out. I ordered the 2009 power pack in English but got it in French. Not very useful since I do not read, write or speak French. I tried to contact them via Internet. I have not a clue how to get through the maze. It is all obsolete disconnected irrelevant .....
Has anyone any ideas on getting a response out of them?
I've never tried to contact them directly, but haven't needed to yet. The newsgroup alt.os.linux.mandriva has been very helpful. BTW it's a free download from http://www.mandriva.com/en/download/free . I've heard there are problems with KDE4 (included in 2009.0) so for now I'm sticking with 2008.1 HTH.
