Thanks to everyone who responded. I appreciate the advice. Sorry John for hijacking your post!
Ross had it right, at this point in my life, time is not a resource I have much of. Many of you are suggesting the same thing that brain is telling me-- do the loctite fix and when the motor goes south that is the time to deal with it. Wally, if you lived in the SF Bay Area, I would certainly invite you over. Beer and food is never a problem. My car has a relatively new water pump, so I think I will hold off on that replacement. A Koyo radiator sounds nice, but I would like to avoid getting infected with shipwright's disease. Its so easy to do. After the radiator comes trick hoses and... and... and... I think I will go for the loctite 660, order a new boss, belts, 4 pulley bolts, some easy out, various other items that are listed on Miata.net's fix page and *perhaps* an underdrive pulley (I dont think im going FI with this car). I assume that everyone agrees that the miata.net writeup is good ... http://www.miata.net/garage/LongNoseRepair/index.html Thanks again to everyone that took time to respond to my question. -jason
