Thanks. I'm going to take the pulley off tonight and hope I can twist the fastener out by hand. If it's not accessible, I'll post some reviews of broken fastener removal tools.

Won't necessarily cause any damage, but you'll lose the water pump and alternator belt so the car's not going to want to drive very far after this happens.

    It's usually an easy fix. Take the pulley back off, the broken bolt
    will probably come out by hand.
