"sophisticated", to sell more cigarettes.  He teamed up  with Hollywood 
directors to come 
up with sophisticated female smoker  characters.


Precisely why one must be AWARE of what one sees or hears in the  media.
 
If you wonder why young people are cursing and acting like fried-brain  
idiots, just look at MTV.
 
Young people, especially, are impressionable, but older folks often fail to 
 see how they're being manipulated, as well.
