Choices?? People don't want to be responsible to have to make choices.
They want others to fix their problems so they can keep doing what they want
to do.

I'm a board member of a local Outreach program.

We have 3 basic kinds of clients. The older woman whose husband is gone and
she probably never worked a day in her life. Now that the husband is gone
they can't make ends meet and they need assistance. We help them with food
and sometimes help pay a bill.

The other client is the younger woman who may or may not be working but has
2 or 3 kids and has trouble making ends meet. So she comes for food and
help with bills. But as she sits in our waiting area, she is talking on her
cell phone, wearing designer jeans, has a 100 dollar hair styling, and 50
dollars nails. Most have a pretty nice car too.

The other type client is someone who is really trying and struggling and
really needs help.

I have no problem with 1 or 3, number 2 really bugs me.

I disagree. Make better choices. Rearrange your priorites. You don't need
cable or a cell phone or to eat out. Shelter, food, the rest is up to you.
If you want healthcare to be next, you will be able to afford it.

Not necessarily. COST and availability have a lot to do with it.
