my issue is with government recognition of a religious establishment. and that's what we have. there are rights associated with religious marriage that are "given" by the government to those select people - as if government legitimately has the power to "give" rights to any individual or group. It flys in the face of the constitution. and this is where the civil libertarian rises up in me the government has recognized "CORPORATIONS" as people. they are a legal fiction. and indeed under our government, the COPORATIONS have more rights than individuals. This is the basis for a lot of the problems we have today. dan
