Your statement is false.

 

A government plan wouldn't have equally bad coverage for all.  It would have
equally bad coverage for everyone but the politicians that approved it since
they are except from any laws they pass.

The government is supposed to treat all it's people equal. And yes, a
government plan would have equally bad coverage for everyone.  But it really
doesn't matter because it is not the role of the government to provide
health insurance. The whole premise is wrong.
