I'm pretty sure all 94 (and only 94) sticks had the torsen and the rear braces. In '96 they cheaped out and the braces only came on optioned out cars.

I had a '94A and remember checking equipment options here. If the car came with cloth seats it probably didn't have a torsen. If it did come with leather seats it probably came with torsen ... and the most underbody bracing of any year Miata. The seats may have been replaced so look for the bracing (half a dozen round steel bars with flatened ends) under the rear of the body. AFAIK the '94B (tan top & interior) did not have the bracing. ----- Original Message ----- From: [email protected] To: Bill Cardell <mailto:[email protected]> ; MataPowerList <mailto:[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, December 16, 2009 3:45 PM Subject: How do I know it's a Torsen?
