Gauge seems stable when coasting in gear. But it rises when engine is idling and car is not in year. Also I get a little over 28 mpg when I Coastin mutual verses 26 MPG. The difference is how much engine drag is caused and does it prevent you from maintaining speed. Shutting off engine as you coast in neutral is a really bad idea as also lose your source of vacuum for braking. Why would you put it in neutral on a downhill highway? Its an unsafe practice and does not save gas. Based on that, its a circulation issue. Water pump is suspect.... Thanks for the responses. Both fans work. Water pump is new. I blew the head when I over revved the engine after getting stuck in a ditch in October. There are no leaks.
