She has a way of hooking people into believing that she's Brian's
biggest fan (a subjective term) and that she's in some way an insider
into BB life. Through "chutzpah", she is able to wrangle backstage
passes on occasion and has set some people up to get back and meet BW,
thus lending to her credibility. She also tells a great tale of woe,
everything from homelessness to medical issues to heaven knows what...
I do believe that she has a genuine love for the music of Brian Wilson
and the Beach Boys, but so do we all. She's a user and unfortunately,
well intentioned people have fallen into her trap.

Another thought:
It always brings a SMiLE to my face when I think about how rarely we
actually acknowledge, or even speak of, what this music and Brian's
triumphant story means to us. It's like an understood thing between
close friends. We don't NEED to wave it in each other's faces, we just
get it. That's why many of us are part of the "banned." That's why we
are the Headz and why some people don't get us. We look at the
superficial posturing, craziness and one-ups-man-ship that exists on
other boards and we call it out or we just vacate the premises,
choosing instead to expand our scope of thought to other music and the
issues of the day.
This place is a breath of fresh air for me and full of people that I
respect and enjoy. Thanks for letting me play here!
Your pal,
CR
