Hey folks,
about that 12x5 wheel, the contractor (Bob) did not have the willpower to cut it
up. So he had a crane move it out of the way. This gives us two to three weeks to find
a home for it.
The wheel was constructed in 1965 and Bob says all that it needs is a fresh coat
of paint.
It weighs 10,000 pounds! Needless to say its weight and size are the reason it is
going to cost about six grand to move. If anyone is interested, we may have to cut it
in half to bring it down to a size and weight that would make moving it cost effective.
At half the weight and size it would not need costly "oversize "permits and could
be mounted onto a smaller trailer.
I would rather see it cut in half and reassembled than see it destroyed.
Once again , it is in Connecticut.
sincerely,
Dennis
