I don't think that'd work really well; while readership for
various topic trees may permit read sharing (for which I assume
one would be using symlinks), ownership could be given to
different groups.
I think that automatic removal (with confirmation) would
work best. But confirmation would be application level functionality
(implemented in a/the admin site).
