One thing about Darwin that fascinates me is that his theory of
natural selection came about without any knowledge of genetics. Since
then there has been a synthesis of evolution and genetics which
expands the whole of it. While the process of evolution remains
questionable, evolution itself seems to be more factual than in
Darwin's time. Even though modern concepts alter the original
Darwinian concepts, Darwin set the path.
