Both...what is evil for you may not be evil for me ! Someone in this discussion has given example of 9/11.... I am sure there are people in the world who may consider something like that too- Not evil, Mind may be governed by emotions, even relegious fanatism or may be just a stubburness .... A number of murderers never regret committing murder ...for their minds they have good reasons to kinda justify what law may consider crime and many others evil. Let us take something like adultery....in many societies there are good number of people who consider it evil.....but there are equal(if not more) people who will look at it as 'individual's choice' . The only judge, the only tormentor one can have beyond all laws, all religions, all social taboos is the faint voice of what is often termed as 'conscience' . It tells you every time what is evil....you may choose to ignore.
