Ultimately I think this must come down to an individual's interpretation of
the copyright law and Google's terms and conditions. You are responsible for
your own actions. If you you have some greater insight into the law -- and
intend to reproduce content contributed by our members -- then good luck to
you. You are on your own. The worst thing would be if the moderators gave
you advice, which you acted on, and that turned out to be bad advice. Read
the terms of service and draw your own conclusions on what you can and
cannot do:

The ONLY point that needs to be clarified here is that the moderators do not
and cannot grant permission for the reproduction of content (aside from the
posts that they themselves write).

I think this is all navel-gazing semantics, anyway; but the concern was
raised and so we are dealing with it. I cannot believe the shit-storm this
has generated.
