What I meant by this, gruff, is that I don't see anything put out by
any system of ideas other than science: religion, philosophy,
mysticism, that is any more evolved than it was when the Egyptians put
down Hermetica for us.  In terms of states of consciousness, we have
not evolved any farther.  Science and technology, however, reduce and
extend us in new and adaptive ways.  This may, however, be distracting
from the internal journey.  Mankind goes through epochs collectively.
Our internal journey does not change much, the external, as
adaptation, changes greatly, in my opinion.
