t seems that many people seem to first ask for aid before trying to
sort their own proplems out, umm or maybe I'm just getting a wee bit
synical and grumpish as I get older?

Is it still cynicism when it's the truth? It's been true since the
60's. LBJ's Great Society and then Medicaid and Medicare. What
baffles me is how the American president can call these things
successful while they surge toward inevitable bankruptcy. Even FDR
knew Social Security wouldn't be sustainable. Our Entitlement
chickens are indeed coming home to roost. If common sense doesn't mug
Congress soon our National Debt will top 20 Trillion before the end of
the next decade. Unbelievable.
