This is my personal opinion, but I believe that sometimes I'm a little
more of a Buddist than a Christian (although I rather not classify
what I believe). I believe there is, naturally, a lot of good in
people. I don't think a baby is born into this world and thinks from
the very beginning "I hate all of humanity and I'd like to destroy it
someday." What makes people do evil things is what the evil things
have done to them. For instance, since I was a little girl, I had no
intention of harming anyone, and in fact, I was raised to love people
and to always be courteous. But the kids at my elementary school were
hostile, and thus I developed an anger towards them. Soon, I found
myself wishing that all of humanity would just disappear. The remedy
I found for this anger was sure "love." The love of my true friends
and family. Now, I do what I can to find kids that are sad,
depressed, or angry and I try to comfort them, to assure them that
they are not alone. People are not born evil, but because of the evil
things we experience such as "hate," "fear," and "sorrow," we copy the
experiences we are given. The true goal of the earth should be to be
kind to others, no matter the cost. That determination alone will
change a great deal of the world.

I agree with what B. Alan Wallace is saying with the topic of free
will, and yes, there are people who naturally do the right thing, but
in order to accomplish this ideal, we must focus on the people, and
then we can accomplish the bigger goal.
