As you observe, I'm new here: very new, because although I stumbled across the group about a month ago, and subscribed to the daily digest e-mail, I got distracted by my daughter's birthday, Christmas, and New Year, while also somehow forming the mistaken impression that the group had become inactive, or was entirely preoccupied with being annoyed by Muslims! It was only a day or two ago that I actually looked at the most recent couple of digests, and realised my mistake. Sorry if I've just made another one! I should perhaps have followed good old Usenet advice to take a week or so to acclimatise, before jumping in, but I saw the thread on "Science", and couldn't resist. Returning you to your actual thread, with apologies ...
