Yes Ian that is surly a concern. I can't help beliving in God, that
is who I am. But question I can, and as I'm sure you'll agree the
unexamined belife is just not worth the having.

In Sikh we have two documents that we relie on. The Guru Granth
Sahib, our holy scripture said to come direct form God via Guru ji.
And the Rehat Marayada, a document written by Sikh scholars which out
lines who a Sikh is and the kind of life a Sikh should lead.

The rub of this is our last human Guru, Guru Gobhind Singh ji, as well
as bestowing guruship on Guru Granth Sahib (previously known as Adi
Granth(translation First Book)) told us that whereever 5 Gursikhs
where you will find Guru ji.

In reality this means that 5 Sikhs making rules has all the authority
of Guru ji. The problem with this is this word Gursikh. It means Sikh
of Guru ji, it means true Sikh. I happen to have met perhaps two of
these people in all of the Singhs and Kaurs I have met(one of each
gender BTW). So Marayda, I'm not sure that I can take too much.

Hah to question IS good, ahhh but sometimes it makes the brain hurt.
