Pat, I omit the "o" out of respect not so much to or for God, Creator, The
Ultimate Reality, or what ever name we try to come up with in our limited
vocabulary, but more to show respect to others.  The Hebrew language does
not use vowels.  Vowel points were added much later. So I'm not sure that
the Jews omit vowels out of respect for G-d or is it just a reflection of
the written language?  YHWH v. YaHWaH? (Which is not pronounced out of
respect)

I do have a Q but I will start a new topic.
