I don't ski either, Allan. What I meant by "waffle" is: "to talk
foolishly or without purpose; idle away time talking." Backed up by a
dictionary reference: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/waffle

And what's your excuse for trying to find a way to show that I don't
know what I am saying? Instead of checking the dictionary yourself?
