IMO the golden rule seems a bit too simplistic for the real world.

The golden rule is "thou shalt not kill" right?

What if your life is being threatened or the lives of your loved ones? Are
you going to lay down and wait for the SOB to put an axe in your skull or
are you going to shoot him?

What if saving 10,000 people means allowing 100 to die?

What if you're in a mountain cabin in the middle of winter and you and your
friend are down to the last bite of food with 3 months of bad weather left?
In my case I get the last bite and my damn friend goes on the barby as
well...
