The Spirit is singular because what we call souls are actually images of the spirit and die with the body. By this definition the soul is just the self-sense presiding in the body while it is alive. You may call the Spirit or God , the Cause for all existence. What you have been saying is also just beliefs and cannot be said to be facts.
