I actually don't have too much trouble believing the Earth to be young. The probability that time was not a stable constant in the early Biggly bang. Adam was not created as an infant. So the creation being at a relative age is not a problem for me. I always find curious that mankind somehow knew that certain elements had special value or quality. Gold. Who knew it was rare? Pretty convenient having all the oil buried very deep so we could squabble over it when we discovered it in the future. The signals we get from anything speaks more of our equipment than the sender.
Solipsism is extremely difficult to disprove, much as statements the Earth > was born in 4004 BC complete with fossil record, memories and no doubt a > cosmos sending us false signals.
