What do you mean messing with the name of Mixxx? Do you mean "ReMixxx"?
I could understand how that could be confusing.

I agree that "Live Mixxx" and "Crossfade" are my favorites so far. I am
leaning towards Crossfade. It is distinctive, a single word, easy to
pronounce, and alludes to the function. Although it is an ordinary
English word, I am doubtful "Crossfade" could be very easily confused
with the ordinary English word "crossfade" in conversation. I have a
feeling "Live Mixxx" could fairly easily be confused with "live mix".
That pun is kinda the point of the name, but it could be confusing. I
don't think "Crossfade" is too long to make a nice logo.

I was using LXDE for this until last week. I decided I am not
comfortable publishing software with this obvious and annoying bug that
would quickly create a bad impression:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1161737
So I tried XFCE and stuck with it. I may switch back to LXDE in the
future. They are in the process of porting it to Qt5. It could be nice
in the future if Mixxx and the desktop environment use the same toolkit
to save space in the live image. As far as resource use goes, I am
doubtful there is a practical difference between LXDE and XFCE. That is
an empirical question that could be tested though.

I am thinking of numbering the initial release 0.90. For 1.0, I'd like
to have XFCE 4.12, planned for release by March 1, and custom branding.
I plan on doing a new release at least with each Fedora release and each
Mixxx release. I am not good with graphic design, so I'd gladly welcome
contributions of a logo, desktop background, and whatever other branding
you think would help. I am using the DeLorean-Dark GTK theme and setting
Qt to use the GTK theme.

Btw, I got the boot time down to 25 seconds today.

I appreciate all your input. :)
