At a constant 70-80 mph my car is usually between 216 and 226 degrees.
Turning on any of the major acessories imediately causes the temp to jump.
I think it's some sort of electrical issue, but I've seen it on three
separate cars.  If I turn on my high beams (4x100 watts) and A/C I see an
instant 6-8 degree jump...flakey VW electrical system.
