Pass on the SUV - if you want a tow vehicle that'll tow a 10,000 lb
trailer AND bring the family, get yourself a crewcab pickup.  A buddy
purchased on last year for just that reason - 4 people and the Pro
Race trailer with no problems.  Mine's only a supercab BUT I can
still haul myself, another crew member AND a 24 ft enclosed trailer
from Washington DC to West Palm Beach @ 75 mph (and get 10 mpg).  

Try asking that of an X5 or an M Class.
