it's been a while since i spent money on either of my cars for anything
other than maintenance...

cash has been tight lately, as i work at a dot-com, but i just took on a 2nd
contract in san francisco for extra spending money- so i just bought a set
of corrado g60 wheels w/ nitto tires off ebay for $150 plus shipping.

works out well, because i needed bigger wheels to fit over the 10" calipers
i have waiting to go on my 16v.

speaking of which- i know i need front control arms from an A3 to use the
10" brakes; anything else i need to buy, or should while i'm in there?
mileage on this car is approaching 200k, so i'm sure the bushings are
getting a little tired; i could buy a set of used arms and some aftermarket
bushings, or i could go with a bearing kit installed in new arms from SRS
for $385 and not have to worry about it again for a *while*. (see
http://www.srsvw.com/page1.htm ) yes, i know these will be on the rough
side. no, this car is not my daily driver.

suspension has already been upgraded on the car; tokico blue shocks and
eibach sportline springs- wouldn't have been my choice but i have no
complaints about the way they work, so they're staying until someone wants
to buy coilovers for me =)

so yeah- thoughts are welcome, sorry for the rambling email, been a long
day.
